Important width note: unless the selected variant states otherwise, the finished blind may be approximately 0.4 in. narrower than the selected width for operating clearance.

Measure the exact window width and height before selecting a size. For an inside mount, measure the inside frame at the top, middle, and bottom, then choose the narrowest width. Do not round up. For an outside mount, measure the area you want to cover and add the coverage you need for privacy.

Better room darkening and better quality than plastic. I wanted something that wouldn��t break as quickly as the far less expensive plastic units that also don��t really block out the light. We are using this for our back door that has a full length window in it. We have had it for several months and previous plastic blinds we��ve had became bent near the height of the doorknob, then would break at that point, and soon you��re off buying another. The metal is very thin, but seems a lot more resilient than the plastic blinds. The lack of cords makes these much easier to use. We have a magnetic head we saved from somewhere that I saved and will keep forever. Sorry that I don��t remember where I got it. With a metal door, it makes adjustments or replacement super easy. I can��t comment on the hardware, because I didn��t use any of that, but hardware was included, but I knew what I had was better suited for us.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: These were the only blinds I could find anywhere that met my size requirement -- 24" W X 39" H. Apparently, they're made to order -- Labeling included a Kalitta Air waybill showing a flight from HKG (Hong Kong) to LAX (Los Angeles). All told, they took 15 days to get here (Chevy Chase, Md.), but the wait was worth it. They were well-packaged and a snap to install, requiring only a drill and a screw driver. They look great.
