Measuring & Sizing

How do I measure my window correctly?
For inside mount, measure the exact width of the window opening at three points (top, middle, bottom) and use the narrowest measurement. For height, measure from the top of the opening to the sill. Visit our How to Measure guide for step-by-step instructions.

What size tolerance should I expect?
Our blinds are manufactured to within ±1/8" of the ordered size. Please order your exact window width — do not deduct anything yourself. We will deduct 0.4" during production for a perfect inside mount fit.

Can I order a custom size?
We offer a wide range of sizes. If you don't see your exact size listed, please contact us before placing your order and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs.

Installation

How difficult is installation?
Most of our blinds can be installed in under 15 minutes with basic tools (a drill and screwdriver). Each order includes a hardware kit and printed installation instructions. You can also watch our installation guide on the product page.

Do I need to drill holes?
Inside mount installation requires drilling into the window frame. Some products support a no-drill outside mount option — check the individual product page for details.

Shipping & Delivery

How long does shipping take?
Orders are processed within 1–2 business days. Standard in-stock items are delivered within 3–7 business days. Oversized items may take 7–15 business days. Custom-made orders typically ship within 20–30 business days after production. You will receive a tracking number by email once your order ships.

Do you offer free shipping?
Yes — we offer free standard shipping on all orders within the contiguous United States.

Do you ship internationally or to Alaska/Hawaii?
Currently we ship within the contiguous United States only. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or international addresses at this time.

Returns & Refunds

What is your return policy?
We accept returns on standard in-stock items that are unused and uninstalled, in original packaging, within 30 days of delivery. Buyer pays return shipping unless the item arrives damaged or does not match your order. Please visit our Returns & Refunds page for full details.

Can I return a custom-size order?
Custom-sized blinds are made to your exact specifications and are non-returnable and non-refundable, except in cases of manufacturing defects, production errors, or shipping damage. AiryBlinds will provide a replacement or resolution for these issues. Please measure carefully before ordering.

How do I start a return?
Contact us via the Contact page with your order number and reason for return. Our team will guide you through the process within 1–2 business days.

Payment & Security

Is it safe to pay on your website?
Yes. Our store is powered by Shopify, which uses industry-standard SSL encryption to protect your payment information. We accept all major credit cards, PayPal, and Shop Pay. Your payment details are never stored on our servers.

Faux Wood Blinds — Product Questions

Are faux wood blinds waterproof?
Faux wood blinds are highly moisture-resistant, making them an excellent choice for bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms. Unlike real wood, faux wood will not warp, crack, or swell when exposed to humidity or steam. They can also be wiped clean with a damp cloth.

What is the difference between faux wood blinds and real wood blinds?
Real wood blinds offer a natural grain and slightly warmer aesthetic, but they are sensitive to humidity and not recommended for moisture-prone areas. Faux wood blinds are made from a composite or PVC material that mimics the look of wood while being more durable, easier to clean, and more affordable. For bathrooms, kitchens, or humid climates, faux wood is almost always the better choice.

What is the difference between faux wood blinds and PVC blinds?
Faux wood blinds are typically made from a wood-composite core wrapped in PVC, giving them a realistic wood look and a slightly heavier feel. Pure PVC blinds are lighter and 100% waterproof, making them ideal for very wet environments. Both are moisture-resistant — faux wood offers a more premium appearance, while PVC is the most practical for high-humidity rooms.

What slat size should I choose — 2 inch or 2.5 inch?
2-inch slats are the most popular and work well for most standard windows. They provide a classic look with good light control. 2.5-inch slats create a bolder, more modern appearance and are a great choice for larger windows or rooms with high ceilings. If your window is wider than 48 inches, 2.5-inch slats are generally recommended.

Are cordless faux wood blinds safe for children and pets?
Yes. Cordless blinds eliminate the hanging cord loop that poses a strangulation risk for young children and pets. All of our cordless faux wood blinds meet current U.S. child safety standards. Cordless is strongly recommended for any room where children or pets are present.

How much do custom faux wood blinds cost?
Custom faux wood blinds at AiryBlinds start at $59.99 per blind. The final price depends on the width, height, and lift style (cordless or motorized). Unlike big-box stores, all of our blinds are made to your exact measurements — no cutting required.

Inside mount vs. outside mount — which is better?
Inside mount blinds fit inside the window frame for a clean, built-in look. They require a minimum depth of about 1.5 inches in the window frame. Outside mount blinds are mounted above or around the frame, which is ideal if your window is shallow, if you want to block more light, or if you want the window to appear larger. Both options are available on all AiryBlinds products.

What are the best blinds for bathrooms and kitchens?
Faux wood blinds and PVC blinds are both excellent choices for moisture-heavy rooms. We recommend cordless faux wood blinds for bathrooms and kitchens — they are moisture-resistant, easy to wipe clean, and safer than corded options in small spaces.

Can I order blinds for multiple windows at once?
Yes. Each blind is ordered individually with its own custom dimensions, so you can add multiple blinds in different sizes to your cart in a single order. Many customers order 4–8 blinds at once for a full room or whole-home refresh. All blinds ship together when possible.
